This is my new blog, Now Playing. I'm going to try to keep to a schedule of writing at least once a week. I'm no writer but I'll do the best I can. I plan to write about whatever games I happen to be playing and anything else game-related that comes to mind. As you can probably tell, this isnt going to be very structured and is more for me to mess around with and experiment than anything else. Ok, I've procrastinated long enough. Its time to actually write a blog-post. I had intended to do long posts once a week but I've since realised that I don't have either the discipline or the writing skills to do that. So, instead I'll write short blog posts on what I'm playing. I tend to go between different games very quickly whether or not I'm finished them so there should be fairly regular posts although they won't have any kind of regular schedule. ...play through portal again. Not the challenges or any downloaded maps. Just play through the main story and see what the main appeal is. The reason I say this is that every portal map or mod that I have downloaded has focused on the skill involved in using a portal gun. Playing through Portal for the first time, I was never stuck on a puzzle for more than 15-20 minutes and even that was only on one or two of the later puzzles. I bought Day of Defeat: Source while it was on offer a few weeks ago and recently ive been playing that. I thought I'd share this story with you. I'm normally not very good at dods but occasionaly I get a very good run, more through blind luck than anything else. It was my first time playing this map so I was doing some exploring.
